$5,000 is available per Champlain Towers South family

This application is for immediate philanthropic aid raised through Support Surfside for those directly impacted by the collapse of the Champlain Towers South Condominium on Thursday, June 24, 2021. This supplements the $310,000 in funds that has already been distributed to victims and organizations on the ground working with the victims of this tragedy. Understanding the urgency of needs in this moment, we are dedicating an additional $675,000 in funds for immediate assistance.

A steering committee is being formed and Support Surfside is consulting with the National Compassion Fund, experts in mass casualty relief, to design guidelines and a transparent process for the distribution of the remaining balance of the Funds raised.

Gifts in the amount of $5,000 per family will be made available to the designated representatives the following groups:

  1. Survivors of the Champlain Towers South collapse (i.e. – in the building at the time of the collapse)
  2. Current residents of Champlain Towers South but not present at the time of collapse
  3. Immediate family members or legally appointed representatives of missing or deceased individuals
